  • Hybrid meeting

Digital Innovation Lab is the union of several European universities developing an app able of measuring the level of universal design of content produced by teachers in Higher Education institutions.

The results of this project are:
(1) the database,
(2) the ‘ConnectU‘ app and
(3) the innovation labs will help to improve the design of instruction in European universities.

This event will be connected to the parallel event "Innovation in teacher training: How university microcredentials are shaping the future", organised by the University of Murcia, coordinator of the project. The primary aim of this event is to highlight the crucial role of teacher training as a cornerstone for ensuring the quality of higher education. In a landscape marked by the constant evolution of higher education and its emerging challenges, it becomes essential to explore how the effective integration of technology and innovation into pedagogical practices can enhance teaching and learning processes.

This event serves as an academic platform for critical dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration among experts, educators, and institutions. It seeks to promote the exchange of experiences, best practices, and strategic approaches that support the development of teaching competencies aligned with the demands of contemporary educational settings.

Within this framework, the results of the Erasmus+ Innovation Lab project (https://digitalinnovationlab.eu/) will be presented. This initiative aims to foster innovative teaching and learning practices in higher education. It underscores the importance of continuous reflection among educators regarding the quality of their teaching practices before the start of each course, taking into account factors such as students' acquired competencies, applied methodologies, and evaluation criteria. Equally important is the commitment to ensuring that content, materials, activities, and assessment systems are accessible to all students, thus promoting a truly inclusive and equitable education.
