Info for applicants and new employees

1. I'd like to be part of Language centre. What shall I do?

Everyone needs to go through a selection or recruitment process. An exception may be a short-term cooperation or a cooperation within a few hours or volunteering.

If you want to become a regular employee, choose from the offered job positions above and submit an application.

Application for a vacant job position is usually completed by sending a CV and a cover letter. The period for sending applications is usually one month. After the end of the collection of applications, applicants receive information within 5 working days about the acceptance of the application and the selection committee.

Subsequently, there are a few rounds of the selection process. Do keep in mind that the process will take some time.

2. Selection process

The selection process usually includes:

  • Round One: administrative
Evaluation of submitted applications. All complete and relevant applications will be invited to Round Two.

  • Round Two: written task
Selected applicants will receive information on a task they need to complete and send back to the committee. There is a set deadline for the task. The selection committee evaluates the outcomes and selects applicants for Round Three.

  • Round Three: interview OR  assessment centre
The interview with the selection committee typically lasts approximately 30 minutes. It may include a teaching demonstration, particularly for lecturing positions.
An assessment centre is generally organized for administrative or leadership roles. This is a full-day programme that applicants are required to attend in person. It is usually scheduled for a specific date, which is communicated to all applicants during Round One.
After Round Three, the selection committee evaluates and scores the applicants. Those who meet the required threshold are considered successful. A list of top candidates - those with the highest scores - is then compiled and submitted to the Director of the Centre.

  • Round Four: interview with a Director or Vice-Director of Centre
The interview mostly focuses on the specific job offer.

All applicants will be notified of the application results no more than 10 days after the process concludes.
