From Classrooms to BIPs: Best Practices in Organizing Language Events and Blended Intensive Programs

Aurelija Čėglytė is going to talk about her own experience of organizing two outgoing BIPs with her students (this year and last year). Then, she will be talking about the two BIPs that were organized by the Institute of Foreign Languages - one with lecturers/staff and students, and one with lecturers/staff only. In her talk, she will focus on practical aspects of the BIP projects. Additionally, Aureliya will provide information about Language Tasters, Garden of Cultures, Language Hub, Mother Language Day, and other events her institution organizes.
Bio note
Aurelija Čėglytė is a lecturer at Vytautas Magnus University, Institute of Foreign Languages in Kaunas, Lithuania. Aurelija has over twenty years of experience in teaching English as a foreign language, and previously taught in universities in S. Korea and Japan. Her research interests lie in the area of student motivation, classroom dynamics, language teaching methodology, and educational anthropology. Over the years, Aurelija has gathered extensive experience in organizing international programs, including Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs), summer language courses, language events, and academic conferences.
