Abstract

Prezentace nabídne různorodé aktivity na začátek i konec výukových bloků, zaměřené na produktivní i receptivní dovednosti. Cílem je prostřednictvím sdílení zkušeností představit ukázku variability úkolů a povzbudit kolegyně i kolegy v tom, že může dobře fungovat jak zavedení nových aktivit, tak „oprášení“ těch klasických s drobnými vylepšeními vzhledem k situacím, které před pedagogem vyvstávají.

Abstract

This presentation aims to show how peer assessment can complement teacher assessment in both the formative and summative assessment frameworks, which are applied to assessing productive skills of the students at the Faculty of Economics and Administration targeting CEFR level B2/C1. Peer assessment techniques for both speaking and writing will be presented with regard to the learning and assessment context at the Faculty of Economics and Administration.

Abstract

Příspěvek si klade za cíl seznámit posluchače s nejfrekventovanějšími typy testování receptivních a produktivních řečových dovedností v povinném předmětu Czech for foreigners, vyučovaném na LF MU. Na pozadí SERR pro češtinu se autoři pokusí o analýzu reálných výstupů předmětu, kterému je v sylabu anglického programu v oborech General Medicine a Dentistry věnováno osm semestrů. Komparační metodou upozorní rovněž na rozdíly či shody mezi testováním v běžné kontaktní výuce a v online módu během posledních tří semestrů.

Abstract

The workshop will focus on teaching specific aspects of patient-centred communication to first-year medical students. The workshop participants will become familiar with authentic tools used to support health behaviour change in patients. They will also take part in a role-play where they will use these tools, alongside motivational interviewing techniques, to practise patient-centred communication. Afterwards participants will have the opportunity to either reflect on their role-play performance using a reflective tool or to provide structured feedback to their role-play partner.

Abstract

Mediation, as defined by the CEFR Companion Volume, has been newly understood as a very important skill that needs to be taught and tested. During the on-line teaching and testing mode imposed by the COVID restrictions worldwide, an added value of mediation has been discovered, that of prevention of mindless copy and pasting. Mediation appears to be a perfect testing task, as it requires the test-taker to transform information (even if Googled) so that the addressee would understand and thus show their real command of language. In our workshop, we are going to share the mediation tasks we have developed for English for Lawyers credit tests, and equally important, how we have evaluated them. The audience will be invited to comment, share their experience and ideas.
