The course is intended for foreign students with A2/B1 level, especially for those who wish to pursue higher education in the Czech Republic.
You will be able to understand standard language on both familiar and unfamiliar topics normally encountered in personal, social, academic or vocational life, use the Czech language fluently and effectively on a wide range of general, academic or leisure topics and communicate spontaneously and with good grammar. Students are also supported via e-learning and individual consultations.
You can support your study of Czech language by taking part in preparatory entrance exams focusing on your field of study at MU faculties: can also apply for preparatory entrance exam courses offered by MU faculties.
For admission requirements at MU see: Admission requirements for MU faculties
One of the main goals of the course is to contribute to the successful passing of entrance examinations to a university or other higher education institution. The course will facilitate your deep integration into Czech society and overcoming social, cultural and language barriers. An individual approach to students and their needs is emphasized. The course will be completed by taking the final exam.
The nature of the course enables tailoring the teaching/learning materials to the users’ needs. We will use both the traditional textbooks of Czech as a foreign language and supplementary and authentic resources.
