The MU Language Centre is opening a Czech language course for foreign MU staff. The course is aimed at foreign Masaryk University employees at A2/2 level. If you did not attend Intermediate 1 course in the previous semester please complete the entrance test here. Your teacher will contact you after the deadline for registration and arrange the oral part of the test. The students who attended Intermediate 1 course in the previous semester do not need to take the entrance test.

Course prerequisites:

Students should be familiar with the following topics: content of the books Čeština expres 1, 2, 3 and 4 (units 8-11) by Lída Holá and Pavla Bořilová.

Learning outcomes:

Students will get familiar with the following topics: people - the living phases, education in the Czech republic, eating and cooking, getting to know the Czech republic. As to grammar, these topics will be introduced: direct/indirect speech, conjunctions, the genitive, locative and instrumental plural cases, partitive genitive, reflexive se+ si, declension of the relative pronoun “který”, passive.
