Do you want to improve your communication skills in English?
In our intensive weekend course, you will learn how to communicate effectively verbally and non-verbally; how to improve your self-confidence, empathy and listening skills; how to receive and give feedback constructively; and how to become a responsive communicator who is able to convey his or her thoughts well and can avoid conflicts or misunderstandings in personal and professional life. You will practice all this in selected communication situations in practice and in English.

Hasan Shikoh
Since 1997, I have worked as both teacher and teacher trainer at Higher Education Institutions in a number of countries, including Pakistan (National College of Business Administration & Economics), Oman (Polyglot Institute LLC) and the UK (University of Warwick & University of Birmingham). Prior to this, my professional career began as a journalist, soon after which I was appointed by The Frontier Post daily newspaper to work as sub-editor of their weekend magazine. Following this, I worked as copywriter with Genesis Productions; voiceover artist with a number of independent production houses, including Telesman; business report writer with Mischievous Marketing Ltd; corporate trainer at NetSol Omni Ltd (training arm of Nestol Technologies Ltd, a NASDAQ company); and senior news anchor at Business Plus, satellite TV channel. I was also the lead actor in a short-short film entitled 'The Work of Art' made for the Warwick Shootout Competition. In the past, I have been engaged by Masaryk University, Czechia, for online teaching, training and publication projects.
I joined the University of Birmingham (UK) as an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor for undergraduate and postgraduate students in 2008. Running parallel to this, from 2009 to 2014, I was engaged as part of the management team on the Business Management English (BME) Presessional in a diverse role covering iVLE/IT Coordinatorship; staff recruitment and observations; staff and student training; curriculum design; and multimedia branding and marketing. I recently achieved my sixth degree, a PhD in Creative Writing.
