Community interpreters and Intercultural Mediators in the healthcare system

Next week we will welcome at CJV LF a guest lecturer within our Healthcare Communication CEEPUS network. Dr. Tamara Mikolič Južnič from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubjlana, will give a lecture for ESP teachers titled: Community interpreters and Intercultural Mediators in the healthcare system. In the talk she will focus on the issue of healthcare workers and foreign-language speaking patients in Slovenia, and inform of steps taken in Slovenia to resolve the problem of the lack of interpreters/mediators in healthcare settings.

The lecture is taking place on Thursday 23 Feb in C15/333 at 14:30 in the Campus (CJV LF has its offices in the same pavilion).
